This is Fish' ninth studio album since those heady days when he was frontman of uk prog outfit Marillion and in many ways it's also his best album since then, although many would argue "Sunsets On Empire" or "Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors" are equally spectacular, "13th Star" is in every way progressive, innovative and emotional, lending torchered lyrics through sometimes beautiful soundcapes and brutal guitars, it's a concert of love, loss and betrayal. A stunning return to form coupled with the usual majestic artwork from longtime collaborator Mark Wilkinson.
