"Buffy Sainte-Marie was first noticed on the folk circuit in the mid 60s. Since then she has been involved in country, rock, soundtracks (winning an Oscar for writing `Up Where We Belong'), and presented Sesame Street for five years. For most music fans she is remembered for the albums she recorded for Vanguard in the 1960s, which spotlighted the plight of her fellow Native Americans. Despite opposition and obstruction from the authorities, this remains a priority today."
WE SAY:
Check out track 15... Buffy... The Vampire...
wonder whether a collaboration with metal band Slayer was ever considered?!?
