"The five original vinyl volumes of “The Ace Story” were among the best (and best received) vinyl albums of this Ace’s formative years. Given their significance – both historical and musical – over the next couple of years, Ace will be welcoming them back into their catalogue at regular intervals. Johnny Vincent’s Ace label was the jumping-off point for their own efforts to preserve rock’n’roll and R&B history. Johnny was among the first to license repertoire to them, more than 30 years ago, and it’s a pleasure for Ace to bring a selection of his fabulous New Orleans-produced good-time music back home. Each volume will contain the original vinyl “Ace Story” compilation, expanded to 24 tracks."
